This administration's media group at work is obvious in today's and recent front page reports on the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
The main headline today (Aquino Sona will be truth-telling, says Palace) is a continuation of the Palace' press drive on the upcoming SONA drowning all other headline materials such as the VAT on SLEX, the President's gaffes after gaffes on both the Trillanes case and the water crisis, etc. Aquino +1.
The other front page news today follows:
No frills: Aquino to speak ‘from the heart’ - a take on how good a public speaker President Aquino is, with a bunch of media people handling his communications group spinning he doesn't have a coach, and on what kind of clothes he will use. Aquino is simply the best and we all have to swoon at him. Aquino +1.
Tacky, plastic lampposts defile heritage, glorify thievery - a report on the sprouting lamp posts many years late.
Fast facts: Turtles teach life-changing values like patience - an interesting feature on turtles and the Turtle Islands.
Forgotten law never enforced can solve water crisis, floodings - a feature on a long forgotten local government mandate to create rainwater collectors, that could have augmented our water supply.
The score today shows the Inquirer going all out positive for President Aquino.
Aquino: 2
