The front page today seems to have come from nowhere.
The headline (CBCP fights RH bill harder. ‘Bishops, priests, laity willing to be jailed) is a report that did not bother to answer to say when the events reported happened, and projects the Catholic Church as if she is contemplating her imminent defeat on the RH issue. Catholic Church -1.
The other news today:
Lozada home: When door closes, window opens - a report that gave space to someone who is made into a heroic figure, which of course would give negative reminders of the former President while at the same time some hope for the present administration. Arroyo -1.
Terror alert? 22 nations join Robot Olympiad here - a report that gives a spin on the terror alert via a robot competition in the country.
PDI fotog awarded for doing what he loves best - a report on the paper's own award winning photographer. Inquirer +1.
3G treat: Goodies for good governance - a report on an advocacy group's fund raising activity.
Dacer daughters desperately seek closure 10 yrs after murder - a report that mentioned the names of those implicated in the murder of Bubby Dacer. Lacson -1. Estrada -1.
The scores shows that the paper gave former President Estrada and Sen. Lacson negative treatment for the first time in many months, Meanwhile, after days of pandering with the church perhaps due to religous holidays, the paper returned to its usual treatment of the same, all while former President Arroyo is at her usual place:
Inquirer: 1
Lacson: -1
Estrada: -1
Catholic Church: -1
Arroyo: -1
