The Phil. Daily Inquirer Front Page today comes as if a crime is solved.

The headline (Top cop in carnap named. Rosales is Dominguez brods’ ‘coddler’—Intel report) is an unverified report linking some police officers to carnapping. While space is given to those accused to respond to the allegations, their response is useless as they actually have nothing to respond to. Incidentally, one of the officer named admitted of being close to the former President. Arroyo -1.

The other news reports today:

Prosecutors relent, want plea bargain put on hold - a report on the Ombudsman reversing itself from its previous position that made the office look to have given in to pressure. Ombudsman -1.

Janet Jackson sings soundtrack of her Filipino fans’ lives - the report on the Janet Jackson concert held in Manila.

Lacson breaks silence, says he’d be out now but for De Lima - a report that somehow gave Sen. Lacson and Sec. De Lima equal footing on the Dacer Corbito case, with mention of the former President as being behind the senator's legal problems. Lacson +1. De Lima +1. Arroyo -1.

Heidi Mendoza’s dream now nightmare for generals - a tribute of a report to who we are told to be a God and Country loving and heroic auditor.

Yes, Virginia, there are clean, odor-free gov’t hospitals - a report that says our government hospitals were actually clean. DOH +1.

The scores:
De Lima: 1
Lacson: 1
DOH: 1
Arroyo: -2
