The Ombudsman is becoming more famous, or infamous, by the day as the Phil. Daily Inquirer Front Page took her again at the center of the paper.
The headline (Ombudsman prosecuted. Impeach complaints’ witnesses testify in 11 cases) is a report on what those that do not like the Ombudsman doesn't like of her. Ombudsman -1.
The other front page news today are as follows:
No cap in oil price as world crude surges - a report on oil prices wasting space to contemplate getting back to oil price regulation, gave a bit of space to Senators Recto and Zubiri. Recto +1.
Heidi Mendoza to go back to COA if Aquino wants her to - a report that seems to show that it is alright for the whistleblower, even if she is embarrassed by it, to be given a post in government as top auditor, with a mass as a background. Catholic Church +1.
1,200 Filipinos sail to safety on luxury ship - Some Filipinos are leaving the trouble country of Libya in style (Luxury Ship). the DFA given mouthful, while the President enjoyed some space to signify his contentment. Aquino +1. DFA -1.
NOT ON MASTER LIST. No $1,000 for other Marcos victims - the Marcoses gets a beating everytime this news is repeated. Marcos -1.
How they fled Libya by climbing 10-foot wall - some Filipinos who found hardship on their escape from Libya found comfort with the Phil. Embassy people. DFA +1.
No heated House debates; aircon off 2nd day in a row - no aircon no work seems to be the issue tackled in this report.
The scores:
Aquino: 1
Catholic church: 1
Recto: 1
DFA: 1 -1 =0
Marcos: -1
Ombudsman: -1
