The President on controversial US war vessel banners the headline of the Phil. Daily Inquirer Front Page today.

The headline (President Aquino tours Osama ‘hearse’. Invited by US envoy, Aquino flies to USS Carl Vins) is a report on the President who seems to cannot pass up the chance to board an aircraft carrier, even if it could attract some unnecessary controversy. Although the report seems to be a press briefing coming from the administration, it could have an effect both ways. The report may turn out positive to those who want to see the President in a military posture, but negative to those who doesn't want the fact that it does attract controversy, cancelling each other. Aquino +0.

The other front page news today:

Chit Estella: Life-changing teacher, editor, journalist, pal - a report dedicated to a journalist/professor who recently died in an accident.

Dive, find jewels of the deep in Mindoro - an environmental feature on a coral reef.

Don’t worry, just enjoy amazing show in sky - an interplanetary occurrence seems to have been converted into a religious sermon. Catholic Church +1.

Education completes handicapped lady in red - the DepEd scoring some points on a story of a person with disabilities finishing school. DepEd +1.

Priest turns Pacquiao homecoming into anti-RH bill rally - The arrival of Pacquiao covered with some other issues which treatment could go either way for the church. Pacquiao +1.

The scores:
Pacquiao: 1
Catholic Church: 1
DepEd: 1
Aquino: 0
