The most masa-pandering and oft repeated sound-bite is the main banner in the Phil. Daily Inquirer Front Page today.

The headline (‘Thank you, my Bosses'. Aquino: People changing the culture of ‘wangwang’) took what most probably the President's favorite phrases out of his own speech almost verbatim, but some even with clarification. Aquino +1. Arroyo -1.

The other front page reports today:

Promises, promises: Hits, misses - Amazingly even doleouts and filing of charges against some of alleged former 'cronies' are pluses. Aquino +1. Arroyo -1.

At A Glance - more of bullets that the President would have liked highlighted. Aquino +1. Arroyo -1.

It’s official: Morales new Ombudsman - we have a new Ombudsman who will surely file charges against we all know who. Aquino +1. Arroyo -1.

Next to Sona, ‘terno’ most applauded - a report on what our servants wore perhaps to be able to serve us better wihtout regard for how we felt.

Sleepless in Pagcor: P1B for coffee alone - While some people are bored by the President's speech, the paper quoted as gospel truth the latest soundbite from the chief. Aquino +1. Arroyo -1.

The scores show a total disregard for balance in the front page today, while we keep on wondering why people still read the paper when we of course already know what the reports will be all about:
Aquino: 5
Arroyo: -5
