A billion pesos worth of coffee took the centerstage of the Phil. Daily Inquirer Front Page today.

The banner story (Genuino pal linked to P1-B coffee scam. One small company cornered, earned P700M) is an unverified and one-sided report on a supposedly huge contract approved by the former management (appointed by the immediate past President) of the state-ran gambling firm. Aquino +1. Arroyo -1.

The other front page news:

Tropical storm ‘Juaning’ slams Bicol provinces; 9 killed - this internet version seems to be an updated report on the typhoon that enters the country, which report forgot to mention that the governor of a typhoon ravaged province said something not very nice about the weather bureau. PAGASA +1.

‘Gloria Arroyo needs spine surgery or she could be paralyzed’ - the former President may be sick but the government is bent on doing its job against corruption. Aquino +1. Arroyo -1.

6th plunder case filed vs Gloria Arroyo over PCSO intel funds - the more cases the truer it is, seems to be the main theme of this news report. Aquino +1. Arroyo -1.

Fidel Ramos approved lotto deals, says Morato - The former PCSO chair seems to have the pointing gun. Ramos -1.

‘Dial M’ replay at Senate leaves Morato speechless - It seems they caught Mr. Morato on the tail.

The scores:
Aquino: 3
PAGASA: 1
Ramos: -1
Arroyo: -3
