The new PNP chief is the subject of todays banner story in the Phil. Daily Inquirer Front Page.

The headline (Mouthpiece to head PNP. Bartolome takes over in turnover rites today) is an all positive report on the new PNP chief, with some opinion space given to the DILG secretary. PNP +1. Robredo +1.

The other front page news reports today are as follows:

1M Filipinos to be enlisted to say rosary daily starting Oct. 10 - gave space to a prayer project of the Catholic Church with a Presidential sister's endorsement. Catholic Church +1. Aquino +1.

Competitive upgrade for Philippines elates Palace - the government spokesperson's good news about the government's supposed greatest achievement gets the attention in the front page. Aquino +1.

MILF on claims of US support: It’s good news but not true - the MILF, the US and the Catholic Church given quite some space on this report. MILF +1. Catholic church +1. US +1.

Torres also tried to grab Tierra Pura, says legislator - it seems everyone knows that this land grabber is a criminal but nobody asked why no one is arresting him.

Senator Arroyo: Beware of US Embassy invitations - again the paper giving undue importance to supposed leaked information.

Alvarez exits with a bang, sues oil firm for P4B - the customs chief is actually doing his job via this wide news space reserved for him exclusively. Customs +1.

The scores:
Aquino: 2
Catholic Church: 2
PNP: 1
US: 1
MILF: 1
Customs: 1
Robredo: 1
