Seldom do we see real positions given space in the Inquirer Main headlines.

At last, a very clear stance of President Aquino against the illegal numbers game, Jueteng ( Stop jueteng, new DILG chief told, took the main headlines today. The report is unfairly negative to former President Arroyo when it says that the illegal game flourished on her watch while not giving any data to back it up. The report seems positive to Robredo but did not necessarily give President Aquino a thumbs up. Arroyo -1. Robredo +1.

Palace forms media group led by Coloma and Carandang - a report that did not so much gave the President any positive or negative spin, but dwelt on the gossips surrounding the media group appointments.

Close encounters with 6 presidents - a story about a Malacanang Press officer who wrote a book about her experiences in government, that alrhough touched on some Presidents did not necessarily gave any spin on their subjects.

Red Cross Rose, volunteer for 60 years, and counting - a story about the Red Cross and an old local celebrity identified with it.

Paulino Alcantara: RP legend in world football - a timely story about an amazing Filipino-Spaniard football talent of the 1920s.

World Cup’s Octopus oracle gets more ink - a news that features the now popular World Cup eight-tentacled seer that did not touch on any of our local concerns.

The scores today:
Robredo: 1
Arroyo: -1
