October 10, 2010

The Philippine Daily Inquirer Front page today has less issues but continues the line of headline news it started yesterday.

The main headline (Puno told: Show proof) is a report whose title does not have anything to do with the contents, mainly an exaggeration of what was said. The headline seems to have given Puno back the ball which he seemed to have himself passed around yesterday. Puno -1.

Belmonte: P50M for each solon is not ‘pork’ - a report that says the new DPWH budget allocation scheme is not a real pork barrel, perhaps just part of vote getting arsenal designed for the congressional district representatives.

Manuel Lopez appointed RP envoy to Japan - a report that says family, political supporters and friends are appointed to various post by Aquino. Aquino -1.

Where welcome for poor kids never ends - a report about an advocacy helping educate and shelter poor children.

The ‘fire and grace’ of 3 long-distance nuns - a "tribute to the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary on its 100th year of service in the Philippines".

Bishop Villegas: Reverence priest first before an angel - another report on Bishop Villegas, this time extolling the virtues of the priests. Catholic Church +1.

The scores:
Catholic Church: 1
Aquino: -1
Puno: -1
