The Barangay elections took the headline of the Phil. Daily Inquirer Front Page today.



The main headline which is updated online (Elections in 2,023 villages postponed. Aquino dismayed but Comelec satisfied at voting) is a report on election delays that happened in various places nationwide, where President Aquino seems to have been portrayed as someone whose quality standard is high. The COMELEC is treated both ways but more on the negative side, giving space to chairman Melo on their own defects as well as the dissatisfaction of the President. Aquino +1. COMELEC -1.

Gov’t says elections generally peaceful; 5 dead - a report on the violence that happened during the elections which is mentioned to be less than the last similar election. AFP +1.
