A thumbs up for the preparation for the Barangay elections gets the centerstage of the Phil. Daily Inquirer Front Page today.

The main headline is a report on the preparations for the Barangay elections ('All systems glowing green'. Barangay polls to elect 42,025 chairs nationwide) by all quarters including assurances from the COMELEC and the AFP. COMELEC +1. AFP +1.

The other front page news today:

Eureka! Prof makes math cool, wins int’l science award - a feature on an Inquirer writer winning an international award. Inquirer +1.

RP family moves to the groove, finds dream house - a feature on a successful Filipino family in the US winning a home makeover (etc.) prize.

Getting it right gives Pagasa new hope - a one-sided claim of brilliance by the "new" PAGASA which did not say that they are using exactly the same technique as was used by the old PAGASA, in part giving President Aquino credit. PAGASA +1. Aquino +1.

PDI on the go: Read all about it on Nokia - a Phil. Daily Inquirer advertisement pretending to be front page news. Inquirer +1.

Where space tourists will take off, now in place - an AP report on the prospects of space travel.

The scores:
Inquirer: 2
Aqiuno: 1
PAGASA: 1
COMELEC: 1
AFP: 1
