Still, the subject of the RH Bill dominated the Inquirer Front Page today, with President Aquino getting good coverage on his point of view and projects.
The main headline (Aquino, bishops set bigger dialogue. But President firm on pro-choice stand) is still about the RH bill issue, saying President Aquino is resolute in his stand, even if he did not really clarify his stand. The report also gave the Roman Catholic church some breather space via their statements of calls for a dialogue with those pushing for the controversial bill. Former President Arroyo's name was dragged as being with the church on the issue, but the paper did not give much of any positive nor negative attachment to it. Aquino +1. Catholic Church +1.
The other news today:
Why Fil-Am tycoon flew 12 hours to RP, left same day - a report about a rich Fil-Am who went to Manila just to talk to and convince the President to continue the research and education project he started with the former administration. Former President Arroyo was given good media by the report for having done something as far as technical education and research is concerned. Arroyo +1.
8 homeless kids winning game of life - a report about a recent competition joined in by a football team composed of poor kids, and how the sport is changing their lives.
Tondo poor first of 4.6M set to get free PhilHealth - a purely administration-sided take on giving free Philhealth enrollments to DSWD identified poorest of the poor. DSWD +1. Aquino +1.
To teacher, super thanks for making the difference - a report about the upcoming world teacher day.
Aquino sees first 100 days through glass half-full - the first one hundred days of the President from the President and his administration's point of view. Aquino +1.
The scores shows everyone today seems OK:
Aquino: 3
DSWD: 1
Arroyo: 1
Catholic Church: 1
