The issue on contraception still is the topic of the day in the Phil. Daily Inquirer for more than a week now.
The headline (Church OKs ceasefire. Cites need ‘to pause, assess and pray’) is a story on the supposed dialogue about to happen soon between the President and the Catholic Church on the issue of contraception, that gave Presidential spokesperson the last say. Aquino +1.
The other front page news today:
US study: Teens top users of condom - a report on a sex survey from the US, which did not mention when the survey was made.
DepEd to announce K+12 program Tuesday - an update on education reforms, specifically adding 2 years to the number of elementary and highschool education.
COMMENTARY. Go: I will fight no more forever - a sad surrender on some things the writer, a lone crusader against erroneous books, cannot change.
SPECIAL REPORT. La Trinidad folk hit gov’t inaction - a report saying there is not a relocation going for the La Trinidad flood victims soon, after one year of the devastation.
16K purged from ‘poorest of poor’ list - a report on the government giving money to poor people because President Aquino wants meet the UN-set Millennium Development Goals in 2015. Aquino +1, DSWD +1..
Aquino unfazed by poor marks on first 100 days - a report where the government actually says they are as good as they should, with some disagreement from the usual people. Aquino +1.
US wants binding code on Spratlys - a report that looks like a US propaganda, benefiting President Aquino as well. USA +1. Aquino +1.
The scores shows President Aquino recovered up from a balanced treatment yesterday:
Aquino: 4
DSWD: 1
USA: 1
