December 15, 2010

Except for one piece of news that still somehow involved the Supreme Court, the Phil Daily Inquirer Front Page today is all about the acquittal of the primary suspects in the 19 year-old Vizconde Massacre case.

The headline (SC acquits Webb et al. Eyewitness’ testimony found ‘unbelievable’) is a report on the Supreme Court's decision, acquitting the suspects in the Vizconde Massacre.

The other front page news today:

Vizconde: This is a 2nd massacre - the SC is all about money, so says the Mr. Vizconde who lost his family 19 years ago. SC -1.

Alfaro’s detailed testimony ‘clear, convincing, sincere’ - a point of view on the Vizconde Massacre from dissenting SC Justice Villarama.

No yellow ribbons; Webbs surprised - a point of view of the acquittal of Hubert Webb, from his own family.

HIGHLIGHTS OF SC DECISION. Court says Alfaro an NBI agent - is part of the SC decision on the Vizconde Massacre case, coming from the SC's disbelief in the witness.

Jessica on the run, says US neighbor - a report on the star witness of the Vizconde case, whose testimonies were junked by the SC, and who is now gone from where she was last known to have been staying.

Imelda Marcos gets back Leyte mansion, thanks to SC - a report that by the title and first sentence alone seems to blame the SC for the return of the Marcoses. SC -1.

The score:
SC: -2
