Tough pronouncements from the President took the centerstage of the Phil. Daily Inquirer Front Page today
The headline (‘It’s West Philippine Sea’. Gov’t, AFP use it now to refer to disputed Spratly areas) gave the tough talking President some space while the DFA and the AFP is behind him. Aquino +1. AFP +1. DFA +1.
The other front page news reports today are as follows:
Pacquiao moves to Forbes but not mother - the iconic boxer featured as a very rich celebrity but still in a good way. Pacquiao +1. GMA7 +1.
‘Thank God they wore orange life jackets’ - a story of some fishermen saved from sea.
Sex trade flourishes in Bilibid - if it were not for De Lima, things like these would have continued unnoticed. De Lima +1.
6 ‘Garci Boys’ still holding key positions in Comelec - actually a story on confirmation hearings but ended up telling us that some people ought to be removed from COMELEC. COMELEC -1. Arroyo -1.
They drove 400 km to impress Pres. Aquino - the DENR under President Aquino is serious against illegal logging. Aquino +1. DENR +1.
The scores show the President is again on positive territory.
Aquino: 2
De Lima: 1
DENR: 1
DFA: 1
AFP: 1
COMELEC: -1
Arroyo: -1
