The SC took the centerstage in the Phil. Daily Inquirer Front Page today.
The headline (SC orders military: Release 3 activists. But Arroyo, Esperon, others cleared) puts the AFP in hot waters and ordered to do what it declared it can't, while the former President is cleared of any wrongdoing. Arroyo +1. AFP -1.
The other front page news reports today are as follows:
Singapore tells china: come clean on Spratlys - this news report is nowhere to be found in the paper's online edition. However, it was found on the web from a google (here) server, but not from the purported source of the report (the Agence France Presse, AFP). There indeed is something wrong with this report.
‘Egay’ exits but more rains seen - there is no more typhoon and the PAGASA still is not able to say whether how much rains we can expect, but the lack of news did not stop the paper from reporting.
Bishops twit Aquino: Give up Luisita - a report on some Bishop telling the President what to do on the issue of Hacienda Luisita.
Tiny spy drones poised to alter war - a New York Times report on some US military hardware.
Estrada provides laughs, Imeldific the songs - a report on the reception of a wedding anniversary that gave space to a former President's humor and a former First Lady's singing. Estrada +1. Marcos +1.
The scores:
Arroyo: 1
Estrada: 1
Marcos: 1
AFP: -1
