Tom Clancy would have laughed at how lifeless the plot in the Phil. Daily Inquirer Front Page is today.

The headline (Don’t agitate China–Enrile. ‘One torpedo can sink our destroyer’) shows everyone is in on the Spratlys dispute like a real national emergency. Funny how it was announced that supposedly 'backroom' diplomacy are being started by the Speaker of House (how can it be 'backroom' when it is announced. We now start monitoring Sen. Enrile as we notice he always is in the front page these days. Enrile +1. AFP +1.

The other front page news today:

Be like Rizal, President Aquino tells Filipinos in rites - President Aquino's Rizal birthday speech covered by the paper even while there are some protesters whom the President did not notice. Aquino +1.

ANALYSIS. On sending Philippine Navy’s biggest warship to Spratlys. ‘Be sure Humabon guns do not jam’ - there seems to be any analysis in this analysis.

Top political, business, media leaders gather for Santiagos’ 40th wedding anniv - everyone is all smiles on a wedding anniversary, while the people they all vow to help grapple in rains and floods outside the church, and there is nothing wrong with it. Meanwhile, Cardinal Rosales found a podium to defend the family. Catholic Church +1.

Ambition + Desire = Trouble - an analysis on men who tweets inappropriately.

‘Egay’ weakens, but 2 low-pressure areas nearing PH - with names of typhoons known well ahead they come into existence, the paper now thought there are some news to report. PAGASA +1.

The scores:
Aquino: 1
Enrile: 1
PAGASA: 1
AFP: 1
