That former President Arroyo is a corrupt president seems to be the message of the Phil. Daily Inquirer Front Page today.
The headlines (Gloria Arroyo left P4-B debt, says PCSO. Officials expose spurious media contracts, bogus medical claims) is a totally one sided report against the former President and shows that when it is negative to Mrs. Arroyo, the paper is not inclined to give both sides in a single story. Whereas we see in the past few days that if it is against President Aquino, there would be a response from the administration. Arroyo -1.
The other front page news reports today are as follows:
US seeks dialogue on Spratlys - 75% press statement from the US on 25% from the Chinese. USA +1.
Michael Ray Aquino jailed in NBI - a former Police Officer charged with the murder of Dacer and Corbito pleads innocence and clears Sen. Lacson and former President Estrada. Lacson +1. Estrada +1.
PH wins Young Lions award at Cannes fest - some Filipinos winning advertising awards.
Analysis. China creates waves in naval show of force - our monitor is still looking for the analysis in this piece that seems to promote the story on the Spratlys.
New US, old PH ships test synergy - the government is tough against a supposedly regional bully. Aquino +1. DFA +1.
The scores:
Aquino: 1
USA: 1
Lacson: 1
Estrada: 1
DFA: 1
Arroyo: -1
