The Phil. Daily Inquirer Front Page main banner today seems to agree with the Police.
The headline (Car theft killings ‘solved’. ‘We have the evidence, suspects’—police) is a positive although incomplete report on the police force for the supposed "solving" of the recent carjacking with violent murders case. The report did not question the press statements of the law enforcers, nor the evidence presented (the partially burned driver's license). PNP +1.
The other news reports today:
Dominguez brods living it up on the fast lane - a news report on how bad are the Dominguez brothers, supporting the police version pointing to them as the suspects in the recent spate of carjackings/murders. PNP +1.
‘Quattromondial’: UST embraces birthright, destiny - a news feature on the upcoming quadricentennial celebrations of the Philippines' oldest university.
Scientist cooks veggies so amazingly yummy - a report on a new food-cart business featuring healthy street food.
Cardinal hits Hollywood hedonism - a sermon from the Cardinal in Manila. Catholic Church +1.
PDI lensman wins agri foto of the year for second time - the paper thought that their own photographer is worth a front page news report. Inquirer +1.
The scores:
PNP: 2
Catholic Church: 1
Inquirer: 1
