President Aquino would surely love seeing his name in the main headline of the Phil. Daily Inquirer Front Page today.

The headline (Aquino: I won’t run again. ‘I can tell whoever nation got better’) looks like a press release from the President which also mentioned former Sen. Roxas for a 2nd time in the front page this year. Former President Arroyo is mentioned by the report in what seems to be an attempt to show a contrast in character between the Presidents. Aquino +1. Roxas +1. Arroyo -1.

The other Front Page news today:

Sentinels of heritage guide PH’s progress, light its soul - a feature on lighthouses to be maintained by a budget-strapped agency.

‘St. John Bosco will make me feel alive’ - a feature on a relic of Don Bosco now in the country attracting devotees in anticipation of the 200th anniversary of his birth in 2015. Catholic Church +1.

Cops cite ‘Foto-Me’ killer case’s twists, turns - a repeat of a previous report insinuating that there are other people to whom the killer in the councilman's murder reports to.

Asian Muslim leaders back Aquino peace efforts - as the title says, a report on some leaders backing the President. Aquino +1.

Smartest dog ever knows 1,000 words - a report on a dog who can memorize names.

The scores:
Aquino: 2
Roxas: 1
Catholic Church: 1
Arroyo: -1
